buying used verizon phone - advice?

So, my phone died a sudden and unexpected death. Water damage, the Verizon guy said - which is weird, because I only played bobbing-for-cellphones the one time. Life is weird, eh?

So, now I need a new phone. I’d like to buy a used one, save some beer money - other than amazon, craigslist and ebay, are there any good sites worth looking at? I’d rather deal with a faceless corporation than some actual human being, if I can. Also, any recommendations on models?

I used to enjoy selling the V325 and v325I as a salesperson for Verizon.

As to where to buy one used…eh…your guess is as good as mine. We usually recommended Ebay by default if they weren’t buying from us.

You can read reviews for different models of phones at www.phonescoop.com . They also have forums there where you might pick up some useful info.

How long have you been with Verizon? You might be close enough to sneak it into their “new every two” plan.
