December 8 deadline is coming up quick. I am submerged in all sorts of election confusion and conflicting news, so - apparently Arizona officially certified, which all but makes it game over. Have Michigan, Georgia and Pennsylvania officially done so as well?
Georgia certified on the date they’d set to certify — Nov 20
Michigan certified on their set date also — Nov 23
Pennsylvania certified one date later than the date they’d set — certified Nov 24
Minnesota also certified on the 24th.
Arizona certified Nov 30, as planned.
Nevada certiied ahead of time, on No 25, ahead of their Dec 1 set-date for doing so.
Wisconsin certified on Nov 30 in advance of their Dec 1 cert set-date.
Georgia then did a recount after having already done a recount, and certified again after having certified.
Here’s the dates which individual states have set for certification - usually it’s a matter of state law. I’m not aware of any more that have delayed certification, and the ones that are left are pretty much hard red or blue states.
So what happens if a state doesn’t certify by its own internal deadline, but gets it done later than that (but still before Dec. 8)?
