Assuming you’re asking me, since this was right after my post: yes. But you can’t clean scratches (or at least I don’t have a tool to do so), which is what my player appears to dislike most, even if they’re perpendicular to the tracks. Sometimes cleaning fixes the skip, sometimes it doesn’t. “New” disks always work fine.
I’m sure it’s just that I need a new player.
