Olive, I had trouble finding this, but do you know if they accept American Express? Title Nine has that bra (same price, too), but unfortunately they don’t accept it. I’m willing to buy it, but I have to use my credit card. Also, I think I saw that in another website… The sizes are different than on Ennell’s… The prices are around the same (at least for the cheapest models), and the shipping is way less in the other one (or so it seems).
I’m glad it works for you. I need a new bra. I’m hoping it makes running more comfortable, as the my sport bras (old and shabby) are giving out. Plus I need something that keeps my stuff NOT MOVING when I’m doing capoeira.
My family has asked me what I want, and I have replied that I want a sports bra… somehow that never is delivered to me. I’m disappointed they don’t appreciate the need for a new sports bra like I do.
Actually, I’m one of those fine-bones girls who used to wear a size 2 and then hit mid 20s and now I wear a 12 in pants. It’s just not something I’m used to - in college I wore a 32 Nearly A (from a line called ‘Thank Goodness It Fits’) and now I got professionally fitted and turned out 36D, C in some bras. It’s just a strange and annoying new thing to deal with - I’m afraid to get back in to golf because i’d have to relearn my swing! My new sports bra is from Under Armor - I only got one because the last one I got fit fine inthe dressing room but couldn’t run at all, so I k ow I need to road test them. I’ll get another one now - it’s a bitch to get on and off but works well in the middle. I’d also suggest titleninesports.com for wear-tested sports bras - they have one dog ugly one they give five barbells to.
It’s the Ennell one. And it’s a sports bra… I want the damn things to not move and look as ugly as possible. Running or doing exercise is not when I want to look my best (though I seldom do, anyways).
I just want to thank everyone here, and applaud you all, in equal measure.
I don’t think I would have given the program a try without this thread and I just can’t thank y’all enough for the advice and encouragement. I is also fantastic to read all the success stories. You folks are great!
I made it through the first week without knee pain or shin splints. It took me longer to recover from Day One than I expected but the second and third days were much better. I’m hoping Week 2 doesn’t discourage me.
Congrats to everyone else who is doing this. It makes it easier knowing that others are going through the same thing.
Zsofia, you may have my issue then. I have a large chest but my back is narrow, and I’m short waisted so I need to be able to adjust all the straps. With the uniboob bras, if I could pull it over my head, it didn’t hold the girls properly and I got backlash.
I have two sports bras that I use and while not cheap, my girls stay put. Both have hooks, adjustable straps and underwire. One is an Adidas and the other is a Natori. Nike used to make one but switched to weird construction that doesn’t work as well. I will never go back to the pull-over-your head kind of sport bra again. Being able to adjust everything has made a world of difference.
Well, I skipped the last day of week 2–got too busy, but I wasn’t having any trouble with the week two workouts, so I’m just going to go on to week three. I’ve also not been great about my pushup program. I had some really weird hormonal shit going on this week with major cramps and bloating and just generally felt crappy and not like doing a bunch of damn pushups. Nice attiutude, hu? So I’ll probably start week 1 of the pushups for the third time tomorrow.
Last time, I was benched for 6 months. I actually ran the other day, thinking, “Well, I haven’t gotten the results yet, so maybe it isn’t a stress fracture, and then it doesn’t matter if I run.” That’s a dumb attitude—it’s OK to keep injuring myself, because no one’s told me not to, yet.
Anyhow, I’ve gotten the official No Running, You Crazy, Stubborn Runner from my orthopedist and I’m pissed. I thought I would never, ever be able to look at the elliptical after spending so much time on it last year. Looks like it’s time to hit itunes again…I never wear an iPod while running outside, but I’d pretty much shoot myself within the first 3 minutes on a piece of exercise equipment if I didn’t have music.
I feel more toned and firm all over! This is great. Why o why when people try to sell you on an exercise regime do they waste time talking about overall health and longevity etc?
Hit me in the vanity, baby, and I’m yours. Sure, my 'tude sucks most days. Sure, I’m a big whiney baby about the whole thing, but damn–I glanced in the mirror after I got dressed this morning and I didn’t want to grimace. That’s what’ll get me through.
For those of you with more depth, I still give you kudos.
Btw. I did the first day of week 9 today, it feels great to be a 30 minute runner and as you’re already doing 28 minutes, I don’t think you have anything to be scared about
I know! I’ve only been doing this for 2 1/2 weeks and I feel like I look amazing. I don’t even think I’ve lost a single pound since I’ve started running but I can see a difference in the mirror. It’s so awesome!
Yep, I’m doing it on a treadmill. It keeps me honest with my speed and it enables me to use the podcasts since I don’t have an mp3 player that isn’t my computer.
