Okay, just moved in to this place. I needed cable so called timewarner. I had had them once before, the bundle, with the phone being 25, the internet 25 and the cable 50 all together. I just wanted cable, as my computer died, and its 70! Thats a bit much. Give me a betetr option to go with for just cable, or cable and phone. Timewarner sucks.
Keep looking for deals, cable companies often have deals they “hide” or don’t advertise that much. You can also see if they match. AT&T has always matched my Internet DSL against any deal Comcast has for broadband.
Also check out Broad Band Reports (dot) Com and their forums. They have users who post tips on how they got better deals from their cable/DSL/Dish providers
Have you tried to see if FIOS is in your area?
Otherwise, cable companies are government sanctioned monopolies. Woohoo, less competition means prices are higher - it’s not rocket science.
