After searching Google and New England Journal of Medicine I can’t seem to find any reputable information about Caffeine abuse and serotonin uptake. Specifically serotonin depletion.
Somehow I remember vaguely reading something somewhere that in certain individuals regular heavy coffee drinking caused serotonin depletion (and resulted in depression). But now I can’t find anything reputable.
Did I dream that up or do I just suck at searching?
