Is it just me or does Caleb Followill of Kings of Leon sound a great deal like Bob Seeger when he sings? I don’t think that’s a bad thing, and I think that the kid has a great rock voice, but nobody else seems to agree with me that there’s a lot of Seeger in those vocals.
I heard the similarity to Seger in the first line of the song, but after that it didn’t sound quite as similar. Both singers have a grit to their voice and a emotional quality where it seems like their voices are about to crack but never quite does.
But I love this song and I’ve never heard it before. Thanks!
