So, after all the weird stories about (thankfully) former Mayor Rob Ford of Toronto, a different Canadian mayor is making headlines internationally for all the right reasons:

I too have always been impressed with mayor Nenshi.
Everything I’ve ever read about him has been positive.

Congratulations, indeed. He’s made quite a few enemies (by doing what I consider to be the right thing, especially regarding urban sprawl), but he has a lot of supporters, too.
A couple of years’ back it was Bilbao’s, and that guy was so good that people refrained from making the usual and automatic jokes about it going to the heads of bilbainos.
Good for Calgary, and good for Mr. Nenshi!
Mayor Nenshi sounds great! All our mayor seems to care about is sports. The team(s) we have, could have, might have in the future, and the arena, stadium, pitch they will possibly play on.
