California Prop 8 status

Two weeks ago, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeal affirmed Judge Walker’s decision that Prop 8 violated the U.S. Constitution. The reports at the time said that the decision would be stayed for two weeks to allow the supporters of Prop 8 to file an appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court, or possibly the full bank of the 9th Circuit. That two weeks expires today, and I can’t find a single story on it. Has an appeal been file, and if so where? When is the next action on it likely?

Looks like they waited until the last minute.

The proponents of Prop 8 are expected to file for en banc review today, so the stay on Judge Walker’s decision continues indefinitely.
