The American soldiers being tried for abusing prisoners in Iraq.
I just wanted to jump in and start a new cultural buzz term.
Or am I already too late?

Also, could I trademark this phrase tomorrow, and start ccollecting from news agencies when they start using it?
It’s “Baghdad”, not “Bagdad”.
And calling them the “seven” could quickly backfire if they bring a few more people to trial, as I sincerely hope they will.
On a different level, one might say that calling them the “Baghdad Seven” (or 8 or 9 or whatever) takes away from the real issue here, the responsiblility of higher-ups from Karpinski to Rumsfeld and Bush, by suggesting that there were only seven involved.
Details, details. But thanks for the tip, as I 'spose spelling might be important in court.
And of course the phrase trivializes a much deeper ussue. That’s what catch phrases do.
And it’s a convenient term for liberals AND conservatives. The Baghdad 7 are the downtrodden scapegoats of the general staff for the left, or frat boys gone a little too frisky for the right.
