Dear Uncle:
Again, I appreciate your well worded response. I gladly accept that you love god with all your heart. I understand that your actions are directed at securing his peaceful quest on earth. That is exactly my peaceful quest.
I also accept and forgive that any sins against god and man have been unintentional. Alas, I also admit that we are all sinners and that the path is not always clear. You knew not. Now please tell me, what do the words of the bible say I am to do with those that continue to sin after having been shown the light of the spirit? At what point does informing others of sin become harassment and denial of peaceful quest?
Who will follow christ into heaven? The answer shines clearly in the spirit of the good samaritan. If you perceive any contradiction of this spirit in your interpretation of biblical words, I would pray that when called, you will love god and yourself and others enough to see and trust in the spirit; no matter the words, no matter the cost.
The question was raised if a gay could be considered christian. If christian is defined as one who follows christ, a gay samaritan is christian, no matter the denial. The question we should be asking is whether a pharisee can be considered Christian, no matter the claim.
I am willing to accept your word and your intention, but be aware; the bonds of old covenant words and ideas can be quite difficult to break. We are all hostage to our history.
It has been two millennia since the path was revealed by the light of the spirit in the blood and the flesh. This seems like a good time for rebirth. You say you accept the spirit of the new covenant and the ideals of the Declaration of Independence. If so, I will either hold you to the pledge to liberty, or I will forgive your decline.
If asked, how many of your followers and elected officials would agree to place these words over their state and court houses?
We hold these true:
All are equal in the right of peaceful quest.
All are innocent of crime until proven guilty of threat to peaceful quest.
It is the duty of the state to secure peaceful quest for all through regulation and justice.
How many would reconsider once they understood that “liberty and justice for all” also means equality for gays and other sinners?
Are you inclined to find out?

peace through liberty

P.S. Have you heard the parable about the angel that loved god just a little too much? It seems he could not bear the effects of sin on god. Yet, when he tried to intervene on earth, he slipped and fell from heaven and grace. He was just the first.
