calling all freaks

Anybody got any unusual talents? I have independently rolling eyes, so I can look in front of me and at something to one side of me.

Yeah, I’m a freak, and bloody proud of it. My talent is that I can’t do anything. Well, I can take alot of pain, useful for my martial arts, very useful, i tend to be the test subject.

I can play melodies by rapping on my head with my knuckles. Stole the idea from George Carlin.

I can shoot milk out of my eyes. No, really. I can.

I can also meow pretty convincingly, and throw the sound so it sounds like it’s coming from across the room. I have no clue how I do it. I just do.

Friend: Did you hear something?
Me: No, what?
Friend: I could’ve sworn I heard a cat…
Me: I didn’t hear anything [sup]Hehe[/sup]

I can bend my fingers back to a 90 degree angle without any strain. With effort, I can bend them back until my fingertips are parallel with the backs of my hands.

I can bend the first knuckle of each of my fingers without bending the others.

I can also open/close my eustacian tubes at will. (Too bad Will isn’t here! Har har har)

I can tie a cherry stem in a knot with my tongue. I just learned how to do it last night, but it still counts.

Sharlaan??..Hehe…Okay I’m kidding. I knew a girl who could do that. The cat thingy. It took me a couple of hours to figure out she was doing that.

Me too. I can also fit a grand total of 48 green grapes in my mouth at one time, and can catch goldfish crackers in my mouth if someone throws them up in the air for me. I can catch almost anything in my mouth if I myself throw it…grapes, small crackers, jellybeans, etc.

I can, too, but I didn’t steal it from the man. I had no idea until now that he could do it.

I also do it on my cheeks (facial) and throat.

On my left hand I can rotate my thumb (out of socket)
Feels pretty freaky and looks really gross

That’s the name of the game!

::runs::

I can bend the first knuckle of my fingers too, as well as bend the fingers backwards, although not quite parallel to the backs of my hands. I can move my eyes independently like the OP, move ears back and forth, and I also have prehensile toes - I do tricks like write and strike matches with my feet. Great fun at parties  (Yes, I am a mutant)

Amateur. I can touch the backs of my hands. I used to be able to touch the inside of my right arm with my right thumb, but I’ve stiffened up in my old age. I can also pop both my thumbs out their sockets.

i’m a doper and a cat simultaneously.

i can land on all 4 feet unharmed after jumping off a five-story building, i can judge exactly how wide a hole in the fence is in pitch darkness, i can catch a rat blindfolded, and i can make Crunchy Frog make an entire thread about my sig… and have it get into threadspotting!

Hah. beat that!

I can cross my index finger with my middle finger and my little finger with my ring finger without using my other hand to put them in place, on both hands.
I can also write poems on any subject almost instantly. Rhymed too, not just that “Free Verse” crap.

I possess the ability to make people uncomfortable, scared, or hate my guts using only the power of my personality.

Well, normal people anyway. Not you Straight Dope freaks.

This is very strange. I can do both too. Maybe we’re cosmically-related soul mates or two halves of a divided soul.
The instant poetry thing is very strange. I’m not claiming any great merit to my screeds, so don’t think this is self-praise because it’s not meant that way. But as far back as I can recall I’ve been able to gauge three factors at once - meaning, metre and rhyme - to string words together appropriately into ‘instant poetry’, and I was very grown up before I realised this was a weird knack that didn’t come easily to everyone. It’s obviously just a faculty of freak brains like mine and zoogirl’s. I’ve never found any use for this weirdness, apart from entertaining office pals when I used to be a 9-5 wage slave. It was also very handy in my more musically-active days, because whenever anyone wanted lyrics they just turned on the tap (me).

Yeah, I do those too. It’s pretty much the same talent. I wish I could do the William Tell Overture like Curly on the Three Stooges.

I don’t know if anyone else can do this, but I can wiggle my scalp without using my hands - you know, the old “Look! He’s wearing a wig!” trick. It freaks people out and I think it makes my ears wiggle, also. Looks like I have two talents in one!
