I’m looking for a book “The Quiet Earth” by Craig Harrison. I’m under the impression that he’s from New Zealand.
I’ve used a number of used book search engines, but no one has a copy.
If there are any good used book networks in NZ, or any good websites, please let me know.

Yeah, he’s from New Zealand, but I don’t know if it’s very likely you’ll find a good bookstore that would have it - it will certainly have been out of print for a couple of decades.

I agree with your assessment of the movie. I saw the movie when it first came out and said “Huh???”
I saw it again recently with the same reaction.
That’s why I’m looking for the book. There has to be more to it (the story) than that.
There’s so much potential to utilise in the plot: having the whole world to yourself to do what you want. Ruins a good story to fill it with whiney angst and stupid transdimensional talk.
