Calling Doctor Bombay Home - Bernard Fox, RIP

Cameron should have gone the extra mile and given David McCallum a part too. He played Signals Operator Harold Bride in the 1958 film.

Well that’s a surprise, because I have a memory of the episode. Maybe it was a dream I had.

A Night To Remember was actually as good a Titanic story as Titanic. It didn’t have the fancy special effects, but it did have a fine story.

He had a nice bit in the first “Mummy” movie as a charter air pilot. Captain Winston Havlock got them through the storm but died in the process.

It was a lot more of a documentary than ***Titanic ***was. Have you read Lord’s book? It was updated sometime later (probably post-1985; I don’t know exactly) in light of new evidence

The two main memories of Dr. Bombay involved song lyrics. In one, he was interpreting a dream and said, “Every little breeze seems to whisper Louise.” In another, he said, “Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah, Zip-a-Dee-Ay,” to which Dick Sargent snarkily responds with, “My, oh, my, what a wonderful day!”
