Calling iPhone 4 users.

How long does you battery go before a recharge?

About a day, unless I’m using a battery-heavy app like GPS. Longer than a day if I don’t use the phone at all, though this is rare.

Is there a difference in battery charge after the apple patch for iOS 5?

Not so’s I’ve noticed. I didn’t notice any difference in battery life after iOS 5 came out in the first place, though, so I may be the wrong person to ask.

It will will last anywhere from a day to 3 days (maybe longer but I like to recharge if I go below 40%).

Sometimes shorter if I use GPS or compass apps, or heavy web surfing or gaming. One App (All Trails), which can log your route, usually through the woods) can quickly drain the battery.

I have not noticed any drop in battery life since going to iOS 5, but I have noticed perhaps some sluggishness in performance.

Another factor is how far your iPhone or any cell phone is from the tower. If it’s a long way your phone has to transmit longer, and in turn uses more power to do so. At home I am close enough that the battery doesn’t get taxes checking in to the towers, though at my parents house it does deplete faster.

There is a known battery drain issue for the iPhone 4s.

I charge it every two days. I use it daily for calls, texts, occasional web stuff, some iBook reading.

Haven’t noticed a change in battery charge since iOS 5. Normally a charge lasts a day, if I use GPS the battery is dead in ~4 hours. If I switch it to no Wifi, no GPS, no 3g I can stretch it to maybe 2 days.

I leave mine to charge each night, so it rarely gets below 80%.

For me, yes, dramatically. I used to get pretty good battery life - easily a day without a recharge, and since I put it in my bedside charger every night regardless, possibly longer, I can’t say. Ever since the 5.0 upgrade, it’s turned to shit. It won’t even make it half a day with casual use. The 5.0.1 upgrade didn’t do anything to help.

About a day; GPS hits it harder though. Definitely noticeably worse since iOS5, but that’s being fixed imminently I hear.

Battery life depends quite a bit on what I’m doing. If I’m just using it as a phone, the battery last two or three days. If I’m using it as a WiFi hub, a couple of hours.
