I’ve picked up a Kodak Carousel slide projector really cheap, model no. S-AV 1000. Problem is I can’t find out anything about it. Searches on the Internet have proven fruitless - a lot of links are to German auction sites or for shops with other ones for sale. The excellent Kodak Website also doesn’t mention this model in its archive. I notice that the label on the back says that it was made in Germany. Do I have a German import?
What I really want to know is if I can get hold of a remote control unit for it - it has a DIN socket to accept one, and there appears to be a motor drive for the lens, so presumably remote focussing is possible. Will a standard Carousel remote unit work? I’ve asked in my local camera shop and their response was effectively, “What’s a slide projector, Grandad?”
