"Camp Crip" (Netflix movie) - No spoilers in OP

I just finished watching “Camp Crip”. It is a documentary about, initially, a hippie-like camp for the disabled that operated primarily in the 60s and 70s.

The movie focuses on some of the camp members and how they banded together over the next couple of decades to protest discrimination of the disabled and how they became a force affecting legislative change via organized protests. These protests were instrumental in passage of the 1973 Rehabilitation Act and the 1990 Americans with Disabilities Act.

Highly recommended.
mmm

I started watching it last night! So far, so good.

It’s definitely a lot more uplifting than “Tiger King”, that’s for sure.

I watched too! I love anything from the 60s and 70s. I love looking at the clothes, etc. It was an interesting documentary.

I really enjoyed it too and have recommended it to friends. It’s amazing how relatively recent that is yet madly out of step.
