I’ve used the english muffins, with Swiss cheese, nice and stringy and melty. Yes, use Campbell’s, and the Walmart French bread if you like it, just toast it first, top with cheese, broil that, then put this in the soup. Keep it simple, for cryin’ out loud! You’ll get a French onion soup fix that is very close to the 6 hour 20-ingredient version. Do it, do it!
