Campy Christmas Tunes

Forgot to mention “Christmas at Kmart” by the immortal Root Boy Slim and the Sex Change Band.

That guy who did “The Man Song” had a cute take on “Feliz Navidad”

Fuh-leas on my dog

Police on my lawn
Wish i could remember his name, he has a web site with mp3’s of his stuff. I lost all my faves in the Big Computer Crash of Febuary, 2002. (Damn spell checker! Catch my mistakes!)

I’ve got about 100 Christmas cds and on one of them, (I can’t remember which one right now) is a song that is guaranteed to irritate the hell out everyone on your list.
Bobby Goldsboro’s “Snuffy, The Elf Who Saved Christmas.”
I have been physically threatened when I’ve played it in the office in the past.
Another favorite sure to irritate is Joseph Spence’s “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town.” Or as it sounds, a gravelly, growling “Santy Chlor is coming mumble, mumble mumble.”

Now for pure camp, Ann-Margaret & Al Hirt’s version of “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” and Louis Prima’s “Shake Hands With Santa Claus” are very campy, but actually enjoyable. At least to me, YMMV.

I’ll second that. This may be the funniest holiday song ever written.

Funny, funny stuff…

Also, 'Zat You Santa Claus? by Louis Armstrong is pretty hilarious.
