Can a Christian support Abortion?

Thank you, Polycarp.

OK, since providing you an actual quote immediately above my comments was ambiguous, let me explicitly state that this is what I was referring to:

**Right. I was disputing the evil nature of the pedophilia within the church. Of course, that’s what I was doing.

Shall I explain again what’s wrong with a categorical statement such as this, without sarcasm so it’s easy to understand?

I guess we’ll have to disagree. Good Samaritan? This is not a case of a person being permitted to passively refuse a duty, or even to permit an act to occur without interfering. This is a person actively seeking that another life, the life of a blameless person, be destroyed. This is someone actively ensuring that another person be dismembered and killed. For me, this is significantly different than refusing to donate a kidney or to adopt a dead sibling’s children. The distinction is real and important. BTW, why would the fact that this is embedded in law, even if that were true, be the most important element of the debate for you? Interesting.

It is a singular situation, both in law and ethics, I believe. Just my opinion.

That statement was out of order and would constitute a different debate.

Anyway what about EX 21:22. God distinguishes between a fetus and a human. Also as Badtz Maru has pointed out there are scriptures that equated breathing with life. Gen 2:7 Man did not become a living soul until God breathed into him the breath of life. If God says a fetus is not human why should you, a Christian, think otherwise? Apparently my reckless statement about the RCC has allowed you a convent excuse not to address these verses.
