can a woman become pregnant while menstruating?

guess the topic asks it all.

I believe that a woman could still be ovulating while she is menstruating, even though they normally occur a couple of weeks apart. So pregnancy is possible.

I would guess that it would be highly unlikely, but I think you should use some form of birth control when you ‘pop the cork’.

It’s also possible to have your period one last time once you’ve conceived. If you ovulated late, you may still shed some lining, making you think you’re not pregnant.

So the answer is yes, one can get pregnant during menstruation, especially if you tend to have short cycles.

Her dad was quickly nicknamed “Instagramps”

Why would having intercourse during menstruation have anything to do with getting cervical cancer?

Certainly, but don’t they also have a different diet than us Gentiles? Why not come to the conclusion that eating lobster causes cervical cancer? More to the point, I’d bet on a lower average number of sex partners-- and isn’t most cervical dysplasia linked to a sexually transmitted virus?

Or am I misreading you, and you’re talking about a study comparing Jewish women who refrain from sex during their menses, with Jewish women who have sex during their menses? Please enlighten me.

HPV virus can cause cervical cancer. The more (unprotected) partners you have, the higher your risk of getting HPV. Being religious probably reduces the number of sexual partners you will have. Therefore, being religious probably reduces your odds of cervical cancer.

Popping the cork is probably safe.
