Can anyone explain these Monty Python jokes?

I’ll bet he has a silly walk, too.

Does it have to be either/or?

Back to the Equator thing.

It makes no sense. Cleese clearly states "like around the middle of the Earth, only with an “L”. Equatlor.

If anyone believes the Python crew religiously edited those “All the Words” books, you are mistaken.

Your definition of “complete, logical sense” is very different than that of most people.

you silly bunt

I definitely hear it as “Equatol, Brian Equatol. Like 'round the middle of the Earth, but with an L.”

“Kari McKeen. It’s like Carrie, only with a K instead of a C, and an “ah” instead of an “a”, only one R, and an I instead of an I-E.”

Albatross!

For what it’s worth, Netflix had a series called Very British Problems in which they explained the English character as being filled with pathological dread of embarrassment. The ridiculous failure at covering up for a mistake might strike more to the heart of a Brit.

That’s the way I’ve always heard it.
