Can anyone help me navigate Facebook's new 2-/evel security

It was incremental, and it was me who called them, at a phone number i searched for on google as facebook customer service. I searched for scam issues with the phone number, and found nothing. I.ll try to find it. Of course i can’t find the google result. Here’ the number i called.

Skip over the threes
<Phone number deleted>

Bank account was already locked that morning.

Here’s how it started.

Yup. That’s exactly what happened. :grimacing::grimacing::grimacing:

I’m seeing more than 10 digits when you take the threes out?

I’ve deleted the scam phone number, as I don’t think that any good can come of that.

Have you contacted your credit card companies (and any other accounts you told the scammers about)?

Is this sorted ?

From time to time I have made a Google search for customer service for various companies. It returned multiple results, but when I looked at the URLs, they were third parties.

The only safe way is to start at the page of the actual company.

And NEVER respond to an incoming call or email.

Now that you know better, don’t beat yourself up over what you did.

Do let us know when you’ve had a talk with your bank (and hopefully a computer-savvy member of your family… don’t be embarrassed, this happens, but don’t delay, you need to take definitive action right away).

Then let us know when cards are cancelled and reissued, and access to all your accounts is blocked and protected.

We’re rooting for you!
