I am interested in both .pdf and video guides.
Where can I find Zoom sessions to join? I am not a Zoom troll – just would like a lesson in Zoom.

I’ve never used the PM function but if you send me your email I’ll set up a meeting for you sometime in the next hour. I’m on pacific time.
It would probably be helpful to know what device and OS you’re using. I’ve only used PC and found Zoom to be very intuitive Download, install, create an account and join a meeting.
I’ve been helping a club through using Zoom - and most of them are well above 60. There are videos for first time users and other videos for those who want to start and run meetings. I found one for first time users (link) that went nice and slow and didn’t have stuff to confuse them. They liked it, but it might not be right for you.
It is easy to sign up and starting meetings is free (40 minute time limit) so you should find someone to test it with and give it a shot.
Some people had problems. One person had her computer run by some IT consultant who had it locked down so tight that she couldn’t load the Zoom app. And one person, during a test, couldn’t get me to hear her or see her. That turned out to be because she was on a desktop with neither a microphone or camera.
But it is easy for most of us.
Thank you. Downloaded.
I’ve never used Zoom, or any other video meeting software for that matter (hold on, I once used Skype), but as always with new software, I would install it, click around, check the buttons and the menus, and try to get a picture of the features. Interfaces are designed to make that able. If you still have questions, google the specifics.
Or to speak with an immortal xkcd meme, this.
I’ve found that the biggest hurdle is realizing that it even has any particular feature. Once I’ve known of (or guessed) a feature, finding it hasn’t been hard.
Of note: The “Annotate” feature, used when someone is sharing a screen, works much better than the “Whiteboard” feature. I’ve no idea why that would be; one would expect them to share almost exactly the same code. But the upshot is, if you want to use a whiteboard, share some big white window like a blank text editor, and annotate on top of that.
Thanks.
Zoom on my Fire Tablet would not connect. Any advice?
