I’m listening to the hearing on Sirius, and it’s remarkable how much Ted Cruz sounds like Mr Haney, including the bloviating.
Ted Cruz feels sorry for Kavanaugh’s mother, but he seems to have gotten over Trump’s attacks on his own wife and his own father.
Like I’ve said earlier, the confirmation of this lying jackass is seriously going to up the odds of either a Court-packing push or (perhaps more likely) a nullification crisis, wherein a future Democratic administration just ignores any Supreme Court decisions that Kavanaugh is a part of and refuses to enforce them.
Seriously, it is impossible to look at this man’s behavior and believe that he will approach any case before him as nothing other than a political operative.
All that said, I kind of welcome such an outcome. SCOTUS is a horrible institution and if we all stop taking it seriously then that’s probably a good thing.
My assumption for awhile now has been that Cruz is some sort of amphibian-like creature that dragged a human man into its swamp-hole for dinner and is now wearing his skin.
Feinstein looks bad.
I keep hearing this stuff about how Dems fabricated this whole situation, and how there will never be another person confirmed by the Senate.
Funny how Democrats never thought of fabricating sexual assault charges when Gorsuch’s nomination was up. Those dummies: it was so easy to mess up this nomination; I guess they must have liked it when McConnell absolished the filibuster to get Gorsuch on the bench.
Feinstein blames Ford’s friends for the leak. That’s an interesting choice.
It would have been impossible to smear Gorsuch in this same way. I mean, it’s not like he went to the same high school or anything.

The Intercept confirms that Feinstein’s staff did not leak the letter to them.
I can’t fucking believe that she and the other Dems just let her become a new defendant in a pop-up trial about leaking.
