Can Democrats actually stop the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh?

(post shortened)

What is a “groundhog day sad trombone”?

You think that a woman’s credible story of sexual assault is equivalent to a 4chan post?

Are you being serious right now?

Because if you are it’s fucking disgusting.

It seems to me that having k on the court would present another problem: His best buddy, and fellow accused rapist, is a published novelist, about drunken stuff in high school.

How does that relationship go if k is on the court and judge needs something really badly? Lets say that judge already lied about stuff to get him on the court in the first place. It seems to me that they already advertised that ethics is not the main concern here. If that guy gets on there the republicans will be asking for it.

I thought that a scotus judge needed to be above even the appearance of such things.

Repetitive whining about fake stuff.

What some of us are saying is that if it’s got any validity, it’ll show up in a more reliable source. If it doesn’t, it won’t. If the best available cite for some alleged info is 4chan, I’m not even going to look at it to see what it says. I can wait for a few hours for it to pop up in a real news medium. And in the meantime, I’ll give 4chan its appropriate due by ignoring it.

Because there’s already a far more compelling claim, from a far more reliable source, already on the table.
Also, you’re a disgusting human being.

What claim?

…I would suspect the FBI may have already investigated the 4chan allegation. It would probably take an agent fifteen minutes to reconcile the timelines.

But assuming they haven’t: what is it exactly about the 4chan story do you find credible enough to warrant the FBI to look into it? Can you make the 4chan case for us? Because I don’t particularly want to click over there because the site literally makes my eyes bleed. But if you think that what they have posted deserves investigation then lay out the timeline here in this thread.

Christine Ford has asserted without reservation that the assault so traumatized her that she is in a constant state of panic needing some sort escape route wherever she is.

The 4chan post shows she added a second front door to accommodate renters or a business that was being operated from the home not her PTSD. In addition, why would someone in her mental allow strangers into her home such Google interns much less masculine construction workers who likely drink beer? (Are there all female construction teams in Palo Alto?) Clearly, Ford is lying about how the alleged assault affected her in order to gain sympathy as well as get some sort of exemption for the construction at her home. If she is lying about this, what else is she lying about?

This is a shameful post.

Republicans’ idea of credible sources- Faux and 4chan. Man, Democrats better run the table in November or Americans are simply fucked.

Let’s see a quote from Dr. Ford.

The 4chan post shows that you are the kind of person who will accept as true information you found on a neo-nazi anonymous imageboard. Anything else it says is superfluous and uninteresting.

NBC correspondent reporting that Mark Judge has been interviewed by FBI. Moving along pretty quickly.

Fellow Kavanaugh detractors:

Do you find, like me, that you’d have a lot more respect for a Kavanaugh supporter who admitted the assault probably occurred and that Kavanaugh lied repeatedly, and simply didn’t think it outweighed the positives, than someone who either lies about their beliefs or are deluding themselves? Because I find the latter to be more disturbing and maddening.

The only reason we are talking about Kav the Loutish Boor is that the Republican closed off any effort to ask the solidly legit questions. First and foremost, is the Kav a loyal Republican operative being rewarded for his partisan loyalty? His work with Ken Starr sticks out like a hammered thumb. We already have his suggested list of questions for Clinton, involving a set of gynecological precisions that would raise an eyebrow at PornHub. A suggestion that wasn’t acted upon, apparently reflecting the good taste and prim reserve of Mr. Starr. Or something else, God alone knows what.

Kav’s pursuit of HRC in the matter of Vince Foster. Did he really have reasons to pursue the matter so relentlessly? Was it in the dedicated concern for justice, or just plain ol’ ratfuck. I lean to ratfuck, but would like to know. And I want you to know, and that other guy. 'Course, maybe this is all totally legit now, after Obama nominated that fire-breathing radical lefty, Merrick Garland…

And the shabby matter of Monica Lewinsky’s Mom…

I daresay, it raises questions. Did the Kav have any problems with this, did he oppose such behavior, as a gentleman and a non-partisan pursuer of truth and justice?

Then, of course, we have his work for the GeeDubya White House, and the huge pile of documents related to that work, which we are not permitted to see, because reasons. Reasons of national security, which demand review by the Archivists, who cannot complete their work on time, but what the heck! Clear him anyway, we don’t need to know all that stuff, if he’s good enough for Ken Starr, he’s good enough for Devin Nunes! Let it be fairly noted that the Republican majority did release 42,000 pages of documents. The night before the hearings were to commence. I mean, c’mon, who’s kidding who, here?

And, of course, we have Sen Leahy’s complaint about the Kav having private Democrat documents we he was not entitled to have. This was deemed unworthy of investigation, eleven to ten. Of course, they had a very good reason: “Fuck you, you can’t make us do shit!”.

This was a sorry-ass spectacle from day one. And with all of this hovering overhead, they’ve got us talking about his beer habits. Why? Because they didn’t think about it, or they would have voted eleven to ten not to.

Mcconnell is whining that the democrats are “moving the goalposts.”

I’m not making it up.

Ah, no, Mitch, not really.

Article about Kav making efforts to discredit/conceal the Ramirez story before it broke in the New Yorker. Kav said during the hearing he did not hear about the allegation until the New Yorker article.

I think you might be misunderstanding my post, but I know my grad school classmate is an example of the type of person who believes the 4chan theory about Ford’s house remodeling because she has posted on Facebook that she believes this. (Or else she is cynically spreading a theory that she doesn’t believe, which is also possible.)
