Sorry!!
It’s called character pallette.
It’s a free extension that has preloaded sets of characters, but if you want to add one you just click on add, type the code for it, and then it’s added.

Thanks, off to see if it is different than Windows Character Map
Ah ha, it is a lacking in / on the Apple equip…
If you want something similar for MacOS (if that’s what you mean by “on the Apple equip”), see instructions here.
I’ve made a keyboard layout that maps all Greek characters and a few other miscellaenous but useful symbols to right-alt + some letter. This so very useful in biology, especially µ, α, β, γ, δ/Δ, °, ±, etc. However, for some mysterious reason some programs will occasionally stop distinguishing between left-alt and right-alt. Every so often I’ll have to quit Word and re-open it to get it to recognize the right-alt combos. A few programs ignore right-alt completely.
™ = alt + 0153 Win 7
If I used it 40 times a day, I might go to the trouble to make a 2 stroke out of it but then I would have to break the habit one + five.
I type so slow that the micro-second I would save is totally so not worth the effort. YMMV
