I wan to install those nice -looking 12 volt halogen lamps in my kitchen-you know the ones with the colored glass shades, that hang down from the ceiling. Anyway, i saw a set I liked-the damn things are $350.00 a set! All they are is a transformer, power lines, and the fixtures (glass shades with the halogen bulb/socket assembly inside. I figure that I can make my own-but where do I buy the ceramic sockets for the halogen bulbs? These bulbs get VERY hOT in use, so everything in the socket has to be welded-does anybody know where I can buy this stuff and assemble my own?
you should be able to go somewhere like lowe’s or home depot or somewhere like that…They should have everything you need…I believe the ceramic sockets are pretty cheap too…
