Not much to say; if I expand on what kind of job and all that I’m opening the door to responses and I’ve gone ahead and done it.
Just wondering if it would piss anyone off or violate rules here.

We’re all for Dopers helping Dopers and that includes Dopers working for Dopers; if you have a job of work that needs doing there’s doubtless no end of qualified people right here. We are more than happy to help make that connection.
So yes, please go ahead and make that thread, post that job. And please say in your thread you asked for and received permission in advance. That’s how it works.
I think this is a cool idea, as long as the mods/admins have blessed it, and it’s from members of good standing. We don’t want to invite a bunch of “Make Big Money Stuffing Envelopes!” from Guests du Jour.

Yeah, go ahead and put it in MPSIMS. We’ve had one or two similar threads in the past, I believe, and they’ve gone there. (Unless it’s a job for a stand-up philosopher; in which case, it’s gotta go in GD.)
“Real estate novelist” would go in Cafe Society. 
As would a position of Tuba Diva.
The position is filled. Now, should we need a piccolo Maestro…

We could always start a band.

How is asking for help (as in the recent thread where a poster asked for help moving, or the Poly thread from wayyyyy back, and the sticky “Pay for my membership” thread) spam?? We’ve done it numerous times here and the threads have always had mod and member support.
I have no idea what you’re referring to here. Please enlighten me.
We throw out spammers all day long so I’m really confused.
I think he’s stretching it a bit by saying that asking for help is the same as spamming the boards.
