Can iPods use SSL connections?

So, Facebook recently offered the option of SSL Facebooking, which is, I’m told, quite awesome. I was curious as to whether iPod Touches and iPhones (and heck, iPads) were capable of using this feature or not.

Yes, its a basic feature of web browsers, develeped and adopted long ago for secure transactions.

Anything that can use a web browser can pretty much use SSL (port 443), I cannot think of one example

Perhaps a better question would be, has the Facebook application been upgraded so that SSL encryption is used by default?

It’s an option in the account settings, though when you go to your account settings in the Facebook ap it opens a browser window. I’m assuming the SSL yes or SSL no is saved as a preference on the server side, but I would be curious as to whether or not the Facebook ap actually takes advantage of that.
