Good choice. I totally stopped watching National Rental Car commercials; swapping Patricks (Stewart for Warburton), what were they thinking?
Warburton had the look for The Tick, and maybe the voice, but never the attitude. I just don’t think he can ever come off as anything other than world-weary and cynical, and The Tick is earnestness dialed up to 11.
He’s amazing as Brock Samson in “The Venture Brothers”. As in, seeing re-runs of him on Seinfeld as Puddy, or in Rules of Engagement, or whatever, I wonder why Brock’s voice is coming out of that dark-haired guy.
Actually Eliza Dushku was the whole reason that show existed in the first place, it started as a project for her and then Joss came in. At least that’s what I read somewhere (years ago, no cite).
I do agree others were better on the show. I really liked the performance of the guy playing Victor.
I haven’t actually watched the show so I’m not sure this qualifies, but every time I see promos for The Mentalist, that smarmy, weird-looking guy who’s the star just turns me completely off of ever wanting to give it a chance. He’s got the kind of face I’d like to punch (assuming I punched people in the face, which I don’t). I’m not sure what it is about him that affects me that way, but I doubt I’ll be watching his show any time soon. Kind of a shame, because I just took a look at the premise on Wikipedia and it seems like it would be right up my alley.
No there wasn’t. Just the one, played by Gavan O’Herlihy in the first season. Even though he played the older brother, he was actually a couple months younger than Ron Howard.
Well balls. You are correct. Now I see an actor named Randolph Roberts played Chuck in two episodes. But it’s O’Herlihy I’ll always remember. I can’t recall Roberts at all.
Three in the world of Doctor Who: Adric, Nyssa, and worst of all, Melanie. Actually, most of the characters created and cast by John Nathan-Turner were pretty bad.
Are you me?! I wanted to watch that show, but he was so very very bad. He is so bad he should be banned from acting before he ruins anything else.
Oh man, I want to punch Shawn Spenser in the face. And probably the actor, too. If I were the type to punch strangers.
And the sooner Major Crimes can stop being The Rusty Show, the better. I don’t think it ever will. I think MC is different than The Closer because TC was a cop show with some personal drama, but MC is a family show that takes place primarily in a police station.
Trust me I felt the same for the first few episodes but after a while she undergoes some serious character changes in her behavior and speech and is even likeable at some point.
That said, you shouldn’t watch Dexter for other reasons, cause the last 4 seasons sucked hard.
