Can right and left agree on anything?

A few decades ago it was right-wingers holding rallies and demanding that Jews and minorities be persecuted and killed. And it still is. What is it with right-wingers?

Now you’re just trolling us because this is nonsense.

Incidentally I notice that you’re using “Democrats” and “Republicans” instead of “right” and “left” so that you can lump in things that right-wingers did back before the Southern strategy. How open and honest of you.

Ahh, projection. Meanwhile the Republicans have spent years on strategy to suppress Democratic voting rather than, you know, coming up with policies people want to vote for. Because that’s what non-cheaters do, right?

They love him because he’s an asshole that justifies them being assholes.

…and Newt Gingrich and Roy Moore and Mark Foley and Dennis Hastert…

…defending actual Nazis. Hmm.

And who gets to decide what “evenhanded” is? You?

Well, except for the rest of the News Corp media, and the Sinclair Broadcast Group (which are forced to broadcast right-wing propaganda as part of their news coverage) and radio networks such as Cumulus and Genesis, and then there’s the Blaze and Infowars and …my goodness, you appear to have left off vast swathes of blatantly propandistic right-wing media? Why do you suppose that is?

Well, except for all the media outlets you conveniently forgot about.

Gosh, that sounds almost…fascist. What is it about right-wingers and suppressing dissenting views again?

As for Clothahump, the thing to remember is that he doesn’t think he’s lying because most of the time he’s also lying to himself. He genuinely believes that liberals are all socialist atheists who hate America and the Constitution, and he believes it because every news source he follows (and I’m basing this on the ones he actually uses for citations here) constantly reinforces that message. He is a conservative Wonko the Sane, concluding that since everywhere he looks he’s seeing the world through a thin film of soap, it must be the rest of the world that’s in a bubble. After all, it couldn’t possibly be him because he’s a hard-headed realist - every source he listens to tells him so.

And I genuinely dgaf whether the lawnmower story is true or not; the problem is so much bigger than that.

Word. I’m a lot less jittery in the morning since I switched to dgaf.

And as your usual, you don’t bother explaining why you say it’s wrong. Hello, Player Queen!

The hundreds of examples of your stupidity are now hundreds, plus one.

The part where you quoted an article that claimed liberals hate America, and pretended you were trying to initiate a debate.

So, conservatives are going to force the media to describe how much conservatives respect the Constitution? Is this one of those ploys where “The Constitution” and “The Bill of Rights” are considered separate entities?

My suggestion for Clothy, learn to block, you’ve clearly taken too many kicks to the head.

I have a theory that all the villains in fables and children’s stories are the equivalents of intellectual liberals of the time. Evil wizards, witches, and black knights are meanies who think they’re smarter than everybody else, eschew worship of God because they think they’re better, or kidnap the beautiful princess/eat children because they want to deprive good people of their paragons of morality and family values. So, we’re trained from birth to beware the intelligent, and conservatives tend to retain that maxim as they enter adulthood, and therefor continually suspect liberals of undermining their lives.

I’m assuming that you are referring to me. I haven’t offered any personal attacks. I’ve responded to a bunch of them, though. And those attacks actually go straight toward proving one of the elements in the list that everyone is so upset about.

No. Nice try, but no cigar.

Here’s the problem: the list that everyone is so bent out of shape about is actually quite accurate. And that’s what has the collective liberal skivvies all knotted up here. No one likes to have it pointed out that while they are trying to portray themselves as having the high ground, they are actually screwing the pooch.

Had this thread been left where I started it, we might have had some meaningful discussion about it, as I had hoped. But no, we can’t possibly have that, can we? It’s far more important to call me a cunt than to actually talk about the problems.

The list wasnt even an attempt to accurately portray liberals. It was an open attempt to bash the people you claim you want to have a meaningful discussion with.

You might want to try agreeing with reality, and then we can talk about whether we can agree with you.

And that well has been poisoned for at least eight months.

What problems? The problem that* liberals hate America and its Constitution*? Yeah, that’s going to be a good discussion. What did you expect in the way of a meaningful discussion?

The only think on your “liberal” list that I can endorse is “Liberals mock Judeo-Christian values.” But that’s just me. Most liberals I know would never be so crass.

Do they mock the values themselves or do the mock the so-called practitioners?

The line between “stupid” and “troll” must be very wide since Clotha has built quite a mansion for himself on it.

While there may be some debate as to whether he is a troll, just stupid or both, the fact remains that he is deliberately being an asshole.

But can he be banned for being a jerk?

Lesser jerks have.

Calling other people “cunts” is a violation of the Pit’s language rules. Please avoid this in the future.

No warning issued.

And yet Clothy’s ‘Stupid Liberal Idea of the Day’ thread is largely dependent on liberals to contribute actual examples* of the titular phenomenon. (*As opposed to the latest Fox/Breitbart trolling that Clothy fell for.)
