Don’t be so fast to jump to conclusions. Without extolling the virtues of this herb, I can say that I smoke almost daily and a $50 bag lasts me a month. On the other hand, I easily spend $100+ any given night out at the bars.
Drinks are expensive in cool clubs in the city. Pot is way cheap by comparison.
Sorry to quote this whole freakin’ post, but I really didn’t know where to snip. What a load! I’m around pot smokers a lot, some heavy users, and they smell just fine. Of course if they have bad hygiene, or never wash their clothes, they’ll stink. But that’s B.O, not pot. And no, I don’t smoke pot. I had to quit five years ago for my job.
Even with tobacco smokers, you can smell it when they just come in from a smoke, But I’d hardly say they reek.
Goodness, my friend, do you live in a vacuum bottle? What do you do about people who don’t smoke, but never bathe? Or worse, hose themselve’s down with perfume?
Maybe you’re the first to say this (in 33 posts) because few others notice it?

Actually, I LIKE the smell of pot. Mmmmm it smells good. It doesn’t stick around like tobacco smoke, though - it’s gone much faster. Especially if you use candles or incense, you shouldn’t smell bad at all.
OH yeah… and what ever happened to Llardball??? He/she hasn’t shown up ONCE to say, “Wow I’ve learned a lot, y’all are smart,” “You people are all nuts,” or “I’ll get my info elsewhere.” I’d expect at least SOME comment from someone who started a thread - positive or negative!!!
Maybe you’re used to it by now. I know it took me awhile to start smelling cigarettes after I moved away from home. What can I say; pot leaves a terrible stench in smokers’ clothes. It smells positively atrocious.
No, RickJay, I’m super sensitive to the smell. Because I miss it, I guess.
Here’s my problem;

C’mon, man. Rarely does anyone smell anywhere near that bad. Pot or no pot. A little exaggeration is cool

erm, RickJay, i don’t know where to start. first off, mangeorge hasn’t smoked pot in five years. ‘used to it by now’?
you describe the smell as “dogshit in hockey bags… [a] pungent, disgusting, rank stench… like a forgotten laundry hamper”. hardly something one would get used to. could it be, um, that you are full of it? or perhaps have funny nose nerves?
i am a heavy cigarette smoker (a lot less heavy in the past week- yeah me!), but i still smell it tobacco smoke on other users. it does stink, you are right.
but marijuana smoke is bush leagues compared to tobacco. are you sure your pot smoking peers are indeed smoking pot? you may be misinterpreting “Damn dude, that’s some good shit.”
