I assume that, if you partake of pungent herb now, and it became legal, you would continue to do so, so I didn’t create an explicit option for you, and you can avoid an admission against penal interest here by just answering “Yes.”
But other than that, the questions should be self-explanatory. We have a resurgence in either libertarianism or liberalization, and the country, en masse decides to move the front of the Drug War back a bit. Pot is now legal across the board, federal and state. What would you do?
Even walking past someone smoking triggers a migraine. This was a very useful trigger during the jr. Moon’s teenage years. Luckily for me I didn’t start getting migraines til I was in my mid 20’s.
I have always disliked the feel of smoke in my lungs. I was exposed as a kid to a smokey fire, and though academically I know cigarettes and joints don’t put out that kind of smoke … I just never could get into breathing in smoke.
I could be tempted to try MJ in some other fashion – for instance, as part of food. Can’t really see making MJ consumption a regular part of life after all these years, though.
Nope. Did use, don’t use now, won’t use but I would be pleased that my country was showing some small signs of accepting the lesson of the 18th amendment.
Sure, I’d try it. Social pot use seems about level with social drinking to me; the only reason I wouldn’t do it now is that it doesn’t seem worth the bother of possible legal consequences.
Not just yeah, but hell yeah. I’ve “tried” it a few thousand times in the past, but stopped when my first kid was born. I’m not sorry I ever did it, always enjoyed it thoroughly, and would be first in line at the pot store if it became completely legal. I would spend the rest of my life stoned to the gills.
You didn’t offer the right choice for me: I’ve tried it once (back a long time ago), and I probably wouldn’t bother to try it again if it was legal, since it only gave me a sore throat. The sore throat was probably worse because I’ve never smoked tobacco.
I haven’t even smoked cigarettes, so no; that was also my reason for turning down an offer back in college. I don’t have any personal/moral issue with the legalization, though.
Don’t care if it’s ever legalized, I’d see it the same way as I do tobacco, you’re still inhaling burning particulate matter, something human lungs were not designed to do
Me. Not so much because I have a moral objection to breaking the law, but because I have too many responsibilities now and because it’s a pain in the ass to score and the illegality makes it too expensive. If I could just go buy an ounce in a shop like a sixpack of beer (and for a comparable price), I would do it regularly.
Sure, I would. I doubt I’d do it all that often, but if my friends were passing a joint, I’d certainly join in. The only reason I don’t now is that I’ve got a lot to lose professionally.
