Can Synthetic Diamonds Be Made In Colors?

I was looking at some synthetic diamonds. they seem to be either clear, or with a slight yellow tint (yellow diamonds are now popular).
Can the manufacturers now produce them in the rarer colors (red, blue, green)?

I think there might be a few colors, but I’m not really sure…black maybe?

I came here more to point out that synthetic yellow ones are popular more because the manufacturing process made it very difficult to produce clear ones. They tend to come out yellow because of the impurities. So instead of trashing these yellow diamonds as inferior, the manufacturers essentially made lemonade…“Look brilliant canary diamonds, even more beautiful than boring natural clear ones!”

The colours that can be manufactured are clear white, yellow, blue, green, orange and brown (now called chocolate ).

Do they have to be diamonds? We can also make synthetic rubies, emeralds, sapphires, etc. pretty much across the color gamut if you’re willing to settle for “precious gem” in general rather than “diamond” specifically.

For sapphires, in particular, I like the deeply colored artifical ones better than the naturals, at least at price points I could ever afford.
