I very seldom agree with the moderation I see: I always agree with the overall effect it has on this board. I’m willing to put up with first in exchange for the second. But if we are going to give up on moderation, and go for voting instead, I’m voting against the ideas expressed in your post, starting from the top.

What message board has no set of rules? What is it that you propose? That the remaining inmates run the asylum? :dubious:
When I wrote the OP, I didn’t intend to troll. I sincerely meant it.
With that said, reading the thread here, I had a deep belly laugh and possibly emitted a troll-like squeal.
The…way the posts in here insist breathlessly that I have to be talking in a “secret code” to other wanna-be-Nazis and thus an immediate banning of me is just and right along with revocation of the poster’s warnings was hilarious to me.
Frankly I just saw reasoning error after error. A few of the big ones:
a. I posited that possibly a tiny percent of the soldiers drafted and assigned to the concentration camps might have had Jewish relatives. That turned into “blaming the Jews for the holocaust”.
b. I noticed that posters would get angry at the moderation on a post, then some old post of mine would get dredged up and read out of context, and the poster would say “nevermind, the moderation is ok because the poster is a bad person”.
Which, well, is ironic that it relates to some holocaust memes. Now that the moderation of this forum has became far tighter, and several bannings have been issued for posts that aren’t obviously against any specific rule, the quote “First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out…” becomes rather apropos.

Just much lower stakes, is all.
