No such thing as “too soon”. As far as I’m concerned nothing is off limits.
One of those things people will have forgotten years from now is that Farrah Fawcett died on the same day as Michael Jackson. Probably an hour or so after the news of Jackson’s death, I came across this:
Farrah Fawcett died and when she got to the pearly gates, St. Peter greeted her. He gushed “Oh, my gosh, Farrah, we’re all such big fans of yours here, and we’re excited that you’re joining us in heaven! In honor of your arrival, we’ve decided to grant you a wish - anything that you’d like.”
Farrah thought for a minute, and said “I really don’t think there is anything that I’d want for me now that I’m in heaven. Just do something to make the world safer for children.”
I laughed myself sore…
This is seriously the first time I’ve heard that she died. Wow.
But yeah, that joke is funny.
No such thing as too soon, too gross, or off limits.
If something’s funny, it’s funny. If it’s not, it still is but you probably just don’t get it.
You’re asking this crowd?
Like many people, I was pretty shaken up by 9/11. I didn’t lose anyone super-close to me, but I did know 3 of the victims, either as aquaintances, or family of friends. And i’d been at the WTC about 2 weeks prior.
But I still laughed at Gottfried’s joke…
the “too soon” jokes are sometimes the best ones. And I like the waterpark joke.
C’mon, this is funny.
