Once place I know of includes an image in the rules that you have to click on. The rules tell you to click on it if you’ve read them. But, if you don’t read them and click on the button, you get a message telling you to go back and read the rules carefully.
I don’t care one way or the other but I have to ask, why do people get so bent about old threads being resurrected? I never look at the dates on posts, I just respond to the content.
So what do the anti-zombie post people do - think this is really interesting but because it is older than X months I will not respond to it instead I will report it?
The zombie stuff is getting annoying. I think a better idea is to have a script that catches posts to old threads and makes the poster go thru a couple of “Are you sure you want to post to an old thread?” “Are you really, really sure?” “Did you know that if you never posted to the thread before, you’re probably going to look like an idiot?” click thrus.
