I haven’t read this short story yet, but I’ve read A LOT of Seanan McGuire (also Mira Grant). To say she is my favorite author wouldn’t be an understatement.

“Feed”, the first of the Newsflesh Series is one of the best novels I’ve ever read – scientifically plausible and emotionally wrenching. Scratch that. Emotionally ripping the heart out of your chest, filleting it, cooking it in a pan with butter and garlic, and then feeding it to you.
