Can we tone down the language

I was just over in the pit, and frankly it’s a little disturbing to see some of the titles with words like “f*ck” and other words. I don’t think I’m easily offended, but some of that stuff really just feels like too much.

Can we maybe gets some rules put in place regarding this stuff?

::Remembers the bruhaha on this subject from before::

What are you babbling about? I just read every title on the front page of the Pit and I counted exactly two fucks, two hells, one ass and one fucking. You may not feel you’re easily offended but it’s obvious you’re way too sensitive.

In any case, they already tried such a rule, it failed, and it was repealed and this was as recently as about two weeks ago. Apparently it’s not really that big of an issue for you.

Well done sir.

I assure it is really that big of an issue for me. As you can see, I’ve removed a portion of your post as it is very unpleasant to read.

Yeah, but it’s still there. Taunting you.

I think the OP may be an April Fool’s joke, given that the poster seems to have joined in 2003 and must surely be aware of common board behaviour. I was away for a couple of years and I only seldomly lurk now let alone post, but I still was well enough aware of the recent Pit rule changes.

Perhaps you should read the post right above yours. Or something. :stuck_out_tongue:

That doesn’t give you the impression I was playing along? I must be losing my touch.

No, you need to sound more confrontational, I think. You sounded too friendly, it needs a touch of snarky disdain, otherwise it wooshes over the heads of lurkers like me.

Damn.

Khadaji, Jimmy Chitwood, Eats_Crayons: I retract my fucking complaint.

It’s a known fact that Joking Q.E.D. and Blowhard Q.E.D. are identical to the naked eye. I think Mythbusters did a segment on this.

That reminds me. Look to the Cafe Society thingy for a related thread.
Peace,

Since it is no longer April 1st, I think we can safely assume the joke is over.
