Can you get your hand to the bottom of a Pringles can? (poll)

Exactly! I really need “small and a half.” And I’m a big woman, too. Just tiny hands. I look alarmingly like one of those prehistoric Venus figurines.

Okay, so how many people got their hand stuck in a Pringles can as a result of this thread?

He & I probably at least know of each other. The general aviation comunity is fairly small compared to other form of trasport. Although I do not recall any man named Julie. There was a Julie Small in BC, IIRC, She was a good pilot & a fair mechanic.

Short for Jules, I believe. He’s probably passed, as he was of my grandfather or great grandfather’s generation. Last name of Thibedeaux.

Hey! He came up on Google! Can’t read it on my phone, though. Arctic Bush Pilot: From Navy Combat to Flying Alaska's Northern Wilderness ... - James Anderson, Jim Rearden - Google Books

Not even close. I have to pour near the top then scissor with my index and middle fingers to extract a chip.

ARGH! It’s missing the last page of his tale! But he sounds like a pigheaded cheapskate with more courage than sense. Fits right in the family tree…must be the guy.

My hands are 2XL. No f’n way!

I managed three fingers, so …no.

I don’t have a Pringles can at the ready for testing purposes, but based on my recollection I have no problem reaching to the bottom.

With more difficulty than I could when I was a kid, but I still seem to be able to in times of sheer desperation.

(male, here)

I’ve never tried, but I’ll bet I could. I can get my hand into some pretty small spaces. The trick is lube – plenty of lube.

I can reach the bottom of the can, but it prolly doesn’t qualify as much of a can anymore when I do.

While I’m not in the same league as 48Willys, XL nitrile gloves are still skin tight for me. Best I can do is contort my hand enough to get 4 fingers in to halfway between the 2nd and 3rd knuckles.

Adds “Arctic Bush Pilot” to my book wish list.

James Anderson & Noel Wien were some of the pilots I read about as a youngster. Your uncle would have been one of my heros, had I known about him as a kid. He sounds like many of the bush pilots & crop dusters that I have known. Do you know whatever happened to him?

Male who usually wears L to XL gloves so the fingers fit and I can…just barely. It’s absolutely pointless as it’s almost impossible to remove a chip once my hand gets to them though.

My hands are unusually broad for a woman of my size, I can’t physically fit my hand into the can and my fingers aren’t long enough to reach the bottom.

Ladies, please PM me if you can get your mouth to the bottom of the pringles can.

What?!
