I’ve been trying to figure out what movie this is for the longest time. I know it was in black & white. I think there were two men and two women. They may have been trying to break into show biz, make it big on Broadway, something like that. They go to a bar and get oysters and check for pearls. It seems like getting oysters was a ritual they did regularly. As I recall, at the end of the movie (after they’ve made it big) they go for oysters again and one of them finds a pearl. I’m pretty sure the middle part was your typical 40’s song & dance type musical, but I don’t remember the middle at all.
I searched IDMB but didn’t come up with anything. Sound familiar to anyone?
