Can you id this author: Paris-based Jewish author "Michael Cebon?" (sp?)

In the doc Kike Like Me (2007), filmmaker Jamie Kastner interviews, among others, a Jewish author living in Paris (France, not Texas). Phonetically, he seems to be pronouncing his name as “Mi-kha-el Suh-bo[sup]n[/sup],” who has written a book called “L’Chaim.”
Just trying to find out the guy’s name. I’ve tried looking on amazon.com for “L’Chaim,” but had no luck.
Anyone???
(Unrelated to the question, this film features this interesting music video, Who’s Yehudi, from 1943. I’m guessing that this song was written in reference to Jerry Colonna’s “friend,” as well as the (possibly) not-so-obvious to the audiences of that day.

Michael Chabon?

That’s pretty close, but not the same person. Kastner actually spoke to this person in French, so I assumed that he doesn’t speak English. If it remains a mystery, I’ll post a snippet of him when I get home.

Could it be Michael Chabon? He’s Jewish. I don’t know where he’s living and a google search didn’t help. No mention of L’Chaim either.

Michael Chabon lives in California, according to Wikipedia, and has never written a book with that title.

There’s a Q&A with Kastner at the website for the movie company. Apparently questions about Kastner and the movie can be submitted by e-mail to info@cave7productions.com. It’s worth a shot!

Thanks for that. I have just done it.

Hey, they were quick. It’s Michaël Sebban.
