Can you read Amazon Prime books on the Android App?

So my mom has been reading a book she was able to borrow for free on her Kindle Fire thanks to the free month-long trial of Amazon Prime. But she wants to be able to read it on her Android phone as well via the Kindle app, but it doesn’t show up in her list of books that are either “On Device” or in her “Archive.” If she locates the book via the store, it only allows her to buy it.

I tried logging into her account on my phone and had the same problem, but I’ve barely used anything Kindle, so perhaps we’re doing something wrong? Or is there really no way to read Amazon Prime books via the Android App?

No, the Kindle Lending Library books are only available on the Kindle itself. You can, of course, read them on the Android app, but only if you’re willing to engage in illicit activities that violate the license agreement with Amazon and probably the DMCA.
