Can you recommend a shareware spam blocker?

I have no idea how my email address has been found. I only give it to sites I KNOW wouldn’t sell the address. For everything else I use my hotmail or yahoo account.

Also, strangley I had a call yesterday from a firm in NY that charges you to give “expert” picks on sports odds. This came in on my cell phone. The only people that have my cell number are family, friends, my boss and my doctor. Is it possible my cell provider sold it? (CellularOne, so I have to doubt it).

But for now I’d just like any opinions on effective filters.

Thanks.

I use SpamBayes ( for outlook 2000+ only), and since I am forced to use outlook for work email, it works well enough now that it is trained, but I have friends who use mozilla instead. There is a built in Spam filter for Mozilla/Thunderbird.

I have been using Popfile (http://popfile.sourceforge.net). It’s free and very effective.
