You didn’t miss much.
It was basically four people accusing Stephen Harper of beign George Bush, while Harper tried not to look creepy.
For the most part it was legitimately idiotic. I was depressed. I’m sorry to not offer much else in the way of analysis - if it helps, Duceppe did well, Harper didn’t do badly, and Elizabeth May gave herself some credit, while Dion and Layton did not impress me - but it was a microcsm of the campaign, which has so far lacked much in the way of ideas beyond “let’s spend a ghastly amount of money on everything.” I did not get a sense from either Layton or May that they actually could be the Prime Minister of a real country, granting neither pretends to have any chance of winning.
