Canada sends navy ships to New Orleans to help

We’ve been listed as Britain rather than as the UK.

Excellent. Our quiet infiltration seems to be taking shape.

You’ll be hard pressed to find a Canadian who says “aboot” unless they’re talking about footwear.

Hey Daizy - everyone knows it’s not the Canadian Navy ship at WEM, it’s the subs. Sheeesh.

O Canada! Thanks, guys - much obliged. You’re a much better neighbor to us than we are to you, I’m sorry to say…

Perhaps, but have you seen the size of our trade surplus with you guys recently?

Looks like they’ve arrived and have started to work:

Just this past July, I spent a couple of hours on a tour of the HMCS Toronto warship, a very cool ship which was docked on the Windsor side of the Detroit River. Very nice and professional sailors aboard. The ship’s badge has a beaver on it, I do not kid.
As a local Coast Guard ship went past, their hands came out on deck and saluted the Canadian ship as they went by. Tres cool, I thought.
I remember the Canadians’ contribution during the Iran hostage crisis as well.
I hope that the American government has helped out Canada in humanitarian actions, but I’m chagrined that I can’t think of any right now.
It was joked on ‘This Hour Has 22 Minutes’ that the Canadian armed forces had been reduced to a guy on a bike w/ a stick.

They’re coming from both sides people! I’m thinking Canada and Mexico have finally ganged up against us!

Quick, someone check the NAFTA fine print; this seems suspiciously like a hostile takeover…

A former Deputy Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant General Ray Crabbe, wrote a column on America coming to our aid in times of crisis - it is here. It is interesting reading; I didn’t know about any of these actions myself until now.
