Canadian University information for an American

I am an American High School junior, and in one year I will be applying to college. In addition to many domestic schools, I am also interested in Canadian universites–great education at a bargain price. Yet, there is no US News & World report for Canadian universities. Can any Canadian dopers refer me to an equivalent source of information on the Canadian university system.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

This site might be a beginning for you, especially this page. The Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada is also appropriate.

Hope this help, and good luck.

Just a week or two ago, MacLean’s magazine published their annual rankings of Canadian universities and colleges. It’s similar to the US News and World Report’s. Try going to the Maclean’s website and ordering it.

Or, to summarize look here.

Here is a better link to the Maclean’s ratings. Once there, use the text links on the left hand side to navigate to what interests you.

There are not that many Canadian universities, so once you have taken a boo at the Macleans report, you might simply visit the web pages of those in which you are interested.

The school to which Karl linked is offering doctorates for $51, which is one heck of a good deal. [sub]Some conditions apply.[/sub] :stuck_out_tongue:

If you would tell us what you are looking for in a University (everything from area of specialization to class size to external community), perhaps some Canadian dopers might be able to direct you to appropriate institutions.
