Bombing abortion clinics seemed pretty bold.
He wasnt blacklisted. He is a bad QB. His running cant compensate for his lack of passing skills.
He was good enough to be kept on the team and the payroll until he took a knee. He had enough skill until those moments.
I’ll grant that he’s not up to the caliber expected of a starting QB, but you can’t possibly tell me that he’s not able to make any roster as a backup QB when guys like Nathan Peterman and Mike Glennon are still in the league, if blacklisting is supposedly not an issue for him.
Nonsense. He played 12 games for the 49ers after kneeling and CK opted out of the final year of his contract.
CPAC’s 2021 “American Uncancelled” event cancelled a speaker due to anti-semitic tweets.
This could be but do we know what his salary and playing time demands were? Also, the drama that follows him around would be very distracting for any team that would sign him. His footballing abilities arent enough to compensate for his intangibles.
Sorry, but those are bullshit arguments. CK was blacklisted and any arguments he wasn’t are mere reality denying.
That’s terrorism, not cancel culture.
On the subject of Kaepernick, we have had multiple long threads on that so I would appreciate not repeating that back and forth here.
That right there is pretty much the heart of so-called “cancel culture.” If someone is losing their job over their speech because their boss is afraid of “distractions”, yeah, this is what the right wing is so up in arms about.

Lol. The CK affair had nothing to do with partisan politics. As mentioned above he wasnt good enough to start in the NFL. Secondly the NFL is a unique business. It requires a level of cooperation to succeed that most other businesses dont. A guy who would divide a team is going to make winning much harder. If nothing else was different about CK except that he were a rabid Trumper then the outcome would be the same. A team sport demands that the focus be on the team.
Other better players (Richard Sherman) have no problem speaking out on social issues. They just do it smarter.

His team went 28-30 in games he started.
You said he wasn’t good enough to start. You were wrong.
Didn’t say it did. I quoted you.
This, however, does not demonstrate a deep understanding of how businesses work.
He wasnt good enough to start. In his last two seasons his team went 3-16.
Fair enough.
This does not demonstrate a deep understanding of how professional football works, especially the QB position.
Then why did he still start 19 of 21 games? Maybe the team itself wasn’t that good.
