Cancer. What can you do?

Got back from a great day of skiing. Cooked up some chops for the family and got deep into some homebrew.

See? Its not all that bad!

I was just talking to a friend whose friend has a tumor on the pancreas, and they claim it looks like a contained…discrete…localized…don’t remember the exact word but essentially, that it has not spread and should be able to be removed intact. Given what you’re saying, I wonder if that is really true.

When I started this thread, I didn’t realize that the person behind the documentary “Healing Cancer from the Inside Out” arranged for that doc in support of selling his book or DVD or something else.

After giving it some further thought, I am persuaded that Shodan may well be correct and I could very well be wrong.

Sorry.

Bolding mine.

As I said above, all medical care is an experiment with an n of 1 and no control group. Cancer care especially so. Right now all anyone can speak of in your friend’s case is probabilities.

So they’ll do their best to cut it out intact, and perhaps fire off some chemo just in case. Time will tell whether that does the trick. There’s no other way to find out for sure. Wait, and watch, then react to what is seen in the fullness of time.

You would be wrong.

We have reduced deaths from cancer immensely over the past several years. 22% over 20 years, from an ABC news report.
